Dr. Kara Caldwell

Founder & Veterinarian

Dr. Caldwell attended undergraduate school at the University of Rhode Island earning bachelors degrees in Biology, Psychology, and Animal Science with a minor in Chemistry. She left her undergraduate graduation early to catch a train to the University of Minnesota where she studied for her Masters in Public Health in the summers while attending Tufts University Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine during the academic year. While at school she was the Treasurer of the Tuft’s chapter of the American Association of Feline Practitioners (now the Feline Veterinary Medical Association), helped to chair the Pet Loss Hotline, and organized hands-on labs for her classmates to learn practical skills for cat care that were not available as part of the regular curriculum. Her Masters thesis was on Emergency Preparedness and Response and integrating pets into emergency planning.

Cats have always been Dr. Caldwell’s passion and she has been owned by many throughout the years. Currently she lives with Scoots (also known as Pupu), Tuna, and Obie who are part of the Cat Repairwoman logo and show up frequently in her YouTube videos. Through her experiences as an owner and as a veterinarian Dr. Caldwell will be sharing her insights on how to enhance cat care through outreach and education.
